Health and Financial Wellness
Our Health and Financial Wellness Event began in March 2014, and is held biennially. The event is focused on educating and bringing resources to Upper Montgomery County, Maryland residents to enable them to live healthier lifestyles and better manage their finances during challenging times. This event is free of charge.
Health and Wellness
The health component of the program is to provide various health screenings, educating participants on the prevalence of important chronic illnesses, personal risk factors, strategies for prevention including nutrition and exercise, and community resources available to support health issues and healthy living free.
Financial Wellness
The financial component of the program is to provide education of basic financial management. Topics include: developing a spending plan,
working with checking and savings accounts,
understanding credit scores and reports
getting a loan, tips for managing money,
investing, and achieving home ownership
and avoiding foreclosure.
